No photos to offer but it mounts between the frame X point behind the transmission and a point on the bottom rear end of the transmission. Purpose is to help control excessive fore-aft motion of the engine.

Your first version is shown via an illustration on the third page in the service letter linked above in post #3. You can see the bolt and washer arrangement including the large hole space in the snubber ends to allow for a small amount of sliding as Larry mentions in post #6.

Second version is illustrated on the second page in this service letter.

Third version was only used on postwar cars.
