I don't believe the choke stove opening in the black manifold is present on the early manifolds which had some of the thermostatic mechanisms in a manifold chamber.


As an additional bonus and to take advantage of a great photo, there have been questions from others on where the manifold vacuum connection is located on 51 and later engines. On the green manifold the brass fitting is where the steel vacuum line to the fuel pump vacuum side outlet port would connect. The line from the wiper motor would connect to the fuel pump vacuum side inlet port. The silver item is the check valve for the power brakes and is where that hose connects.
