Interior

I’m working on getting the interior done on the ’32 901 4 door sedan. I have a question about the two curved boards that attach to the outside area of the front seat shell, which also attaches to the “B” pillar of the car (see photo "WoodSopport"). While the image labeled "Pillar" is from a convertible the location of the curved board is between the front seat outer shell and the B pillar (Red circled area in photo).

When you look at the profile of the wood support, one side is flat and the other rounded (see "WoodSupportProfile") where the red arrow is pointing. The question I have does the rounded side go towards the front or rear of the car?

In addition, is the the metal frame that the Front seat "clam shell" bolts to is that painted, covered with carpet or covered with leather or something else?
