The photos are before I started any work and are in this order. Also note that the primary and secondary springs on the left front are backwards.

Also, for my hand brake, There is clearly a spring missing so the ratchet does not engage. It looks lie the spring should hook to the end of the rod tied to the release lever. But, where does the top of the spring connect? I have a picture (below) that shows a spring that isn’t there now. Even in the picture, the top of the spring isn’t connected….where should it connect?

Just a note, the centre hub area should have the bolt heads on the outboard side of the backer plate with the nuts to the inside after they pass through the axle pivot casting. The nuts are castle ones to take a cotter pin in them to keep them from ever moving. I would think regular nut/bolt can be used with the aid of a thread locker such as loktite.
