a few other observances

the 526 had eight lug wheels whereas the 426 for 1927 had 6 or 7 lugs.

Unique intrument panel for 1928..they were all set in a cluster surrounded by an immitation leatherette with a fancy bezel.

If you have an early 526 it may have parabeam headlights ..look at the top of the headlight housing to see if it says CM Hall parabeam. Also the parabeam will have two adjusting screws in back of the base body of the headlight...later in the year Packard went to 'depress beam' also marked on top of the headlight by CM Hall only this time only one adjusting screw on housing.

major options for 1928 would have been dual sidemounts, the motor meter with the Godess of Speed, and side cowl lamps.
