I won't pretend to know much about that model but looking at Steele"s windshield rubber offered for 37http://www.steelerubber.com/ I would think your assumption is probably correct. Some slightly earlier cars were mentioned on the forum as having a frame in two halves with screws holding them together that separated to remove glass.
