This is fascinating and amazing to me. I'm impressed.
I don't think it's the original solution (but who cares, if it works).
It may be a better solution, but that would push the second hole, the wider one, behind the main arm if the round hole is moved to the center of the large hole. And any repositioning of that secondary arm may prevent the window from going all the way up or down.
It could be tested. I'm now an expert at installing latches and regulators, I've done it so many times. One more time is no problem.
I have to look at it some more.
