The floor shift trans and the later 39-54 column shift trans are for rebuilding purposes identical. There is no shaft roundness to check, nothing wears that way, there are no gear tolerances given to measure. There is no front seal.

Use a 48-50 or 51-4 service manual, detailed photos and instructions

Front bearing is often worn, rear less so. Rear seal only.
Needle roller bearings on countershaft and caged roller brg inside input shaft, usually OK.
