You haven't yet told us which model you have, and which ornament? The standard ornament for a 180 was the pelican (cormorant). The standard ornament for the 160 was the "doughnut pusher," (godess), which is the one that you see on Mal's car.
Both ornaments are optional on any series car, and both are reproduced by American Arrow in Michigan. They are made of stainless steel, and are beautiful. Cost is roughly $720, which includes a new base. You need to let them know which series car you have, because the base is shorter on the junior cars, and I don't know if they make both bases or not.
