Perusing through eBay I noticed someone selling a "fully restored" 1937 Packard Fire Engine from Hollidaysburg, PA. The listing describes the vehicle as a WW2 conversion of a 1937 Packard Touring Car into a fire engine. The seller states that the original 1943 conversion plans have been preserved and are available.
The starting bid is $22,000.00 with a "Buy it now" price of $30,000.00.
I've seen Packard ambulances, hearses, taxis and police cars, but this is the first Packard fire engine I've come across.
