Thanks Owen and Tim for your advise, it's been very helpful, I left the car today at a shop where they have a very good electrician knowable in old cars. He Is going to try to repair the cut out. If he can't, I will buy the chevy 54 cut out.
Hi Ozstatman, I will register my car at Packard info today.
By the way the 3 wire cut out that I have in my car now has a tag that reads:
Chrysler Corporation
Full Voltage Regulator
VRR40003A. 5DO2566
Model 6 volts
The Electrical utolite Co.
Made in USA, Toledo Ohio
