gloss black and then a swipping of steel wool over it provides the perfect replication of the patina. its gives it scratches and marks and dulls it up very nicely. this is what i did on the trunk and you can't hardly tell it wasn't original in person.

i went back and looked at your floor pans and what you did. i'm going to try to be cheap and fixe my pan on the passengers side with small pieces. with the 1500 coming up a premade panel is spensive, but i may have to just dig deep in the pocket. i would need a front and underseat to fix that passenger's side....probably over 100 or more with shipping.

since i plan to linseed it and then coat it with herculiner...i'm pretty confident my little patches will be fine. but we will see.

i alsways go back to your blog to see how you welded...you had a MUCH better welder. mine sux for this lol!
