OK, got some work done today. (Winter tires installed on one daily driver first) A few more things attached to the firewall, and sparkplug wires cut and crimped. The wires are the generic packard supression core from summit. They should work well with my ignighter and chrome igntion coil. I couldn't resist a little bit of chrome! Am happy with the way the plug wires came out.
The radiator cradle is on the to do list. Have to get some 2mm steel and put a bend in it for strength...
Also put 0.6liters of 90W in the Overdrive, and then 0.95 liters in the transmission. The car sits so high right now that I was able to scoot under the car and get the oil in with no jack stands. Starting to feel like working on a car when I have to crawl under it!
I have most of the e brake mechanism installed but am missing the two springs. Anybody have these two parts for sale? Can't find it in the Max catalog...I also don't understand where 1.1045 is supposed to attach to. The other spring 1.1365 is used to pull the ratchet mechanism into the teeth of part 1.136.
That big spring in the picture was attached to the e brake somehow, but I don't think it is original.
