I took the steering off the car the other night (pittman arm on down) and so I worked on that assembly a little after work tonight. The bolts all soaked in penetrating oil for a couple days, but even so the impact wrench was the only way those tie rods were coming off. Managed to get the plugs out of the end of the connecting rod, so then I could get all the bits out and remove the pittman etc from the connector. I took a picture of all the parts in order of assembly to remind myself how it all goes when I go back together.
