Hood latch parts cleaned but still waiting for painting. My terminals from RI wire made it through customs, so I have been able to get some more done on the wire harness. It is slow work, but rewarding. The crimps look professional. I've been using a ratcheting crimper, and sometimes a non-ratcheting and then soldering the connections, then shrink hose...Time consuming, but looks good. And the new wires are sooo flexible. Starter is also done. I had gotten a 12V field coil as well as all other rebuild parts from Jason at AER, but whimped out and brought the parts to a shop here and had them finish the job. The button on the solenoid is pretty slick. Can't wait to try it!
I put the new tag on the starter, but you can't really see it so well when it is installed in the car...oh well. I know it is there!
When the harness is pretty well sorted out, I might think about firing up the new engine....I think it is time to do that and get some motivation....Still might be a month or so before that day arrives
