The moral of the story is, keep the old hoses even if they're shot, so you can go to the parts store and find a competent counterman to have him/her compare them to what they have in stock. I've never had problems finding a suitable hose in a parts store, ever. (the fact that I've worked in automotive parts for over 8 years doesn't hurt!)
