To remove the convertible vent window you must remove the three screws holding a separate chrome piece on the top of the frame to access the vent wing pivot screw. I taped the screws to this special piece so I wouldn't lose them.
Remove the vent window itself by removing the top pivot screw 30.413 and remove the tension retainer screw 30.414. the vent window can then be worked away from the rubber weaterstrip and pulled up and out of the frame.
Next step is to remove the rubber weatherstripping (30.433) that surrounds the three inner sides of the frame. If you still have external weatherstrip glued to the frame remove it now to gain access to the screws securing the inner C-shaped weatherstrip. This weatherstrip is held in place by small 6-32 screws. I laid them out in order as I took them out and then screwed them back into the rubber in their respective holes when I removed the C-shaped weatherstrip (6484492-93). This was a big help when it came time to install the new weatherstrip. Also remove the small piece of weatherstrip (30.4335) held to the frame at the top of the divisor by one screw. Leave the screw in the piece after you remove it.
.
Next step is to drill out the divisor bar rivets - two at the top of the frame as indicated by red lines and two at the bottom. Actually I ground off the peened part of the bottom rivets with a Dremel cutting wheel.
