2200 miles so far & I have just mounted up a driver's side mirror. On a whim, I picked up a couple "Gypco" brand repops for '50s Chebbys and that should hold it.
Installed 1 front shock tonight & it was a chore. Usually a gas filed shock has a strap holding it compressed for easier installation but I had to use a bottle jack to compress it! Stiffest shock I have ever seen. It was also about 2" longer in over all length but it's too late now :)
The old Monroe has a huge piston usually found on HD trucks, wow. Way to make 'em. Interestingly it is marked Monroe Equipment Co. Must be an oldie? Part # 7893.
