Yes I just read Gerd's animal encounter post, and left my own story in reply.
Yes the firewall color is the exterior color, and that is also the same color on the rims. Metalli-Chrome Bikini Blue.
Here is a mock up of what it would look like with thin white walls. (gotta love Photo Shop)
