we crossed that at the oreily's also but it was really small for some reason. the 11079 crossed to the 3638, but it was WAY too small. the one that came out was 446090 packard number and it was a full metal casing with the seal inside. it was very large. i could not get it out, so i had to use my air chisel to chisel one section out so that it would loose grip and then i pulled it out by hand. luckily i didn't hit the housing but a couple of times and it didn't do any damage, so it should be fine.

the one in my other thread that show the picture of it will better show you what it looks like.

the one from the 57-68 packard almost fits, but i don't think it would be functional anyways.

maybe your pictures are distorting the size to me, but the 3638 at oreily's was small, really small, as in i don't think it would have even fit over the pinion shaft.
