There are factory wiring diagrams for the 41 Clipper and all 42 models you can download from the literature section here. The factory diagrams have decent print quality but are harder to chase wires due to the prewar Packard style where wire continuity is determined by chasing a number rather than the actual lines as is done on the AEA schematics at the link O_D posted.

There is not going to be much available on interior lighting as almost all varied by model or was an option. Until the late 40s Packard generally placed lighting accessory or option schematics on separate pieces of paper which shipped with the item if it could be dealer installed. Those schematics were typically not included in overall diagrams. Apparently not many of those papers survived.

There is a question as to when or on what model Packard changed from placing the courtesy light switches in the power side vs the ground side. I suspect it may have been with the Clipper because some prewar conventional body schematics do show a single courtesy light with the switch in the power side whereas 41 and 42 Clipper schematics do not and just has the label "To body feed" coming off a fuse -- same as the postwars.. Postwar cars have the switches in the ground side so with that nomenclature I kind of suspect the prewar Clippers may too. One other clue would be if your switches have two terminals it is most likely in the power side. If the switches only have one wire terminal it is in the ground side.

One poster (don't remember who) was kind enough to supply an early front courtesy light sheet which I believe was for conventional bodies. It may have been used on Clippers but that is the big unknown. The diagram shows the courtesy light switch in the power side. I believe the 48 diagram was the first to show fairly complete interior lighting. In those are a front and rear light setup which I suspect but cannot prove may have been the same for prewar Clippers. Those 48 diagrams were identical to what was in postwar Clippers.

I have confirmed via direct observation that another 48 drawing of the limo courtesy lights was identical to the 21st series Clipper senior models although due to fading I couldn't verify the colors. If your car has lights on the rear of the front seat plus the two quarter courtesy lights over the rear seat it may work for your car. If not the single courtesy light may work. If none are appropriate and you have the two terminal switches, perhaps you can figure out where to place the switches to get yours to work.

Anyway, for what it is worth here are bits of the pre and postwar schematics I have. If anyone has known prewar interior info hopefully they will post. If you could confirm the type switches you have that may also be an indication of power or ground side switches in prewar Clippers.
