RECAP on what is getting repaired on this 3rd restoration:
Driver's door rebuilt, skinned painted.
1 front and 1 rear fender repainted.
Complete 356 engine rebuild. New everything.
Steering box rebuilt.
Radiator rebuild, tanks beefed up, new core.
Water pump rebuilt.
New fan belt.
Generator rebuilt (for back up, authenticity, not installed)
6V alternator.
Distributor rebuilt.
Oil pump rebuilt.
Sway bar added (at last).
New rubber engine supports.
Heater bearing replaced.
'40 air cleaner replaces '47
New flywheel bearing and ring gear.
Brake master cylinder rebuild, up grade to DOT 5
New fittings (easier to access for bleeding)
Sections of fuel line replaced
1 wheel thread repair
Frame painting. Body undercoating.
Tidy up of all wiring and original conduit
Battery cut-off switch moved for more accessibility
Top adjusted to be easier to put up
Top boot
Rear window mechanism repaired (crank handles added).
Front window mechanisms repaired (elevator junction restored to original set up)
Windshield resealed.
Center post wood grained.
