Hope it is just the contacts but with the pull in coil energized for all that time I would not be surprised if it burned open. There is also the lower set of contacts on the dual contact relay that is positioned between terminals 1 and 4 in the relay box that could have burned or oxidized with all that current -- much like the ign points do if they are closed and the key is on for a long time.
