i have only messed with drum brakes one other time in my life and i that was nearly 10 plus years ago. i hardly remember doing them. it was an 83 Chrysler Cordoba, my first car.

since then it has been disk only....disk i know about well.

on a BMW the E-brake uses a drum inside the rotor setup. you adjust it by taking out one of the lug bolts, inserting the tool and ratcheting the mechanism, which looks just like the one on the Packard. there is no plug other than the lug bolt.

so, on a car that is 50 plus years old, and my first restore, i think i am entitled to not know about little things like that, especially since i have only really ever worked on BMWs from within the last 10 years or so.

i was only just born in 1981....;0)

all is forgiven.
