got the u bolt from HH56 today. put it all together, but HH and I are working through a potential problem with the U-bolt.

i think that the spacers, etc... are fine, i really think the bolt is shorter than my other one. when i look at them the bushings seem to look like they are compressed the same, so i am willing to bet the bolt is shorter.

i am going out to take it back apart after i post this and i will post a pic of the old and new u bolt side by side to see if there is a difference. maybe this has something to do with my car being a very early 55 model and having more of a 54 style rear end, etc...don't know. you can see in the pick that the passenger's side old bolt has about 1/2" of thread coming out, but the new bolt barely fits.
