The body and paint don't look bad.

Overall they're in solid shape. The paint has scattered tiny blistering (moisture during the color change perhaps?) Throughout and a few scratches and dings, but I think overall if will clean up fairly well. Rust is minor, it seems limited to the rear wheel openings, a few body mounts, and the floor between the rear wheel wells and first rocker body mount. The trim varies from great shape to heavily pitted, depending on the piece. Like plenty of other people, I could use a set of the rear bumper ends, and probably a set of the front bumper bullets/bumprettes. I'm not planning on a show quality restoration, those pieces may get media plasted and a refinishing of some sort.

My dream for the car is something I could long haul Power Tour in. Ideally warming up the 374, or an LS if the 374 turns out to be mortally wounded. An O/D transmission, installing a dual master cylinder and front disc brakes, plus some other bits and bobs. I'm eyeing what I like to think are some tasteful aftermarket wheel options - nothing too oversized, or that clashes with the car's styling. Some non-traditional shock choices, possible sway bar upgrades... I don't want to change the character of how the car drives, just enhance a few things where tech has involved since '56.
