Here’s a shot of the parking brake equalizer pull but I’m posting this photo mainly to show where the rear compartment heater is located. Its bolts and hose connectors are clearly visible here although I suspect I’ll need to pull it out as the one on the right in the photo (left side of the car) appears to be bent. The hose was so brittle that it fell off in my hand with little effort and I have replacement for when I get that far. There is no partition in this type of military ambulance so the heater is a box on the floor behind the seat. There is also a fresh air intake on the roof.

Looking at the photo again, I just realized that the studs and hose connections must be very long indeed as the floor inside is flat wood and far above the stamped steel floor shown here!
