Speaking of block heaters.... here is a trick I have used successfully on cars, trucks and even a diesel tractor.

I slide an electric frying pan under the engine then lift it up on blocks so it is right up against the oil pan, or as high as I can get it. Plug it in and in a half hour or hour your engine will be toasty warm and easy to start.

You can buy a frying pan for $5 bucks at a yard sale or thrift store and keep it around the garage.

If you use your wife's be sure you wipe off the grease and put it back where you found it.
