Re: Resurrecting a 1951 Henney-Packard Parts Car

On the fuel pump, apparently the threads are so worn where the little bulb goes in that it bottoms out before sealing. I know that this device is unnecessary and the hole can be plugged but since the car had it, I prefer to keep it so I’ll have to find some gasoline-resistive sealer of some sort.

While out there today, I got the transmissions governor sorted out by putting the proper gear on the best one along with the boot from another. The is actually a pre-1951 R11 governor so the second wire that the earlier ones had has been cut off. Somewhere I believe I have an appropriate NOS one but wether I want to put it on here or not is another story.
