Managed to get the SU HD6 carbs pulled off the motor today. Each carb feeds 3 dedicated cylinders as it's a split manifold.

Already have found a few issues. The front carb never pulled as much air as the rear carb did. Pretty sure the missing gasket between the insulator and the front carb was the reason. Also nearly all the carb to manifold bolts were just hand tight. So probably leaking air.

Lots of varnish in the fuel bowls from sitting.

These carb don't have a traditional choke, they instead supply more fuel to the manifold. This is done via something called the Auxiliary Starting Carb. The fuel hoses that feed that auxiliary enrichment, were pretty mushy.
