Yes, but you can say "I dood it myself." And you have lots of great stories about how you figured things out. BTW, the old Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler ball and trunion joints used leather boots... probably so they could let a little bit of pressure out.

Henry, it sure looks good! The stenciling on the frame is such a nice touch.
Bias Ply Forever! But, having bought them used, you might not know how old they actually are, and the rubber can degrade substantially just sitting there. So, when you get ready to drive, be extra careful and bring along one or two good spares. You might want to "spare" your bias tires and get another set of rims to mount radials for everyday. I saw some Uniroyal Tiger Paws, which I didn't know were still made--in the U.S. no less!--the other day. A friend had them on his, er, Toyota. But they're really quiet and ride nice-- at least on a Camry. I plan to look into them at some point.
