Thanks guys and gal. The motor doesn't sound to bad (except for the fast idle). No ominous sounds, clangs or clunks, or vibration. Not to bad for not running in at least 10 years. I don't have any of gauges hooked up as this point so I can't check the temp or oil pressure. But I didn't let it run long enough to even open the thermostat. This is the first car I have had with an unguarded fan blade, so I have to remember that when I am poking around in the engine compartment.

I need to get the fenders stripped and painted on the inside so I can get them back on the car to be able to take it for a test drive. I guess I could just remove the hood and take it for a rat-rod style cruise around the block. But first I need get the carb and linkages adjusted and make sure the transmission is going to actually work. I also need to check and replace the diff fluid before any test driving is done. Also I will have to deal with the exhaust system also. I was waiting for god knows what to come out of the exhaust.... no flaming mouse nests.......yet

Once those things are squared then on to the electrical!
