Ross, what an awesome tip! I had no idea you could use steel wool on chrome. I picked up some 00 grade and it worked like a charm. Super fast, easy to use and clean up was a snap. No digging in corners trying to get polishing compound out. Thanks! I can't wait to try it on my bumpers!

My clock woes continue. I have it all cleaned and oiled with clock oil, but it is not working right. After I wind it, it will not start unless I manually move the pendulum wheel to get it going. Then in the middle of a run, it will stop. I noticed that the gap I used to have between the face and the hour hand is gone. Maybe it is dragging on the face and stopping the clock? Those two tabs on the side that broke could be allowing too much movement too. I tried to tape them down to see if there is a difference, but it didn't help. I may have to disassemble again and just glue everything together. This clock may be too messed up now to save.
