update:

the number 3 piston that i had, i used a new piston pin because the one that was in the piston had some pitting on it and my OEM ones are very clean.

ironically it fit perfect. so i took the pin that came with the piston number 3 and it fit in all of the other rods fine as well. the only reason i didn't know it worked was because of the pitting so i never even tried it.

so in sum...the number 3 piston is standard size all around...so that is a good piston. i will check the others out, but so far number 1 and 5 are not good.
