Rik, I just noticed I made a bad mis statement in the description of the yellow and tan wires in the description paragraph to the right of the relay. The last sentence should end "allowing push buttons to select park if relay fails". The key has nothing to do if off and if that is the reason you are having difficulty I do apologize. Not sure why you want to kill the buttons with key on though so guess I am not really understanding what you are trying to do.

The buttons should all get power via the wire coming from the ballast resistor to F on the auto park relay and once the key turns off the ballast resistor should lose power and the buttons should all be dead. The yellow and tan wires connected to switch will not bypass and provide power to the park button when key is off but are there to let the park button work if the relay has failed to operate for whatever reason as I experienced a couple of times.

Everything works as usual with switch in normal direction and key on. If sw flipped the other way, buttons all still work except it will not go into auto park when the key is turned off. The buttons are all still dead with key off and switch flipped to the no auto park side.
