Good counsel by Howard. You have the advantage as the hood is off and the studs on those letters are stout, as compared to other items of script on your car.

I used a very small set of dykes and clipped the speednut along the short side. Having a small dowel or small block of wood can sometimes be used to press the studs out once you weakened the speednut. Basically, less is more, and take your time.
