Howard, I have some 4x4s. This is just a mock up in the pictures using scraps.

If I make another hook like the ones I used on the front bars (using all thread) and place the 4x4s where the 2x4s are in the image couldn't I raise the rear bar by passing the all thread through the 4x4 and simply tighten the nut to raise the bar.

This way I would not even require a jack
