Re: Stewart's 1955 Packard 400

I'm trying to get started again.
I got the rear end of the frame back on wheels and I have all the parts to get the front end done.

I ordered some new brake lines from inline tubing. They are not perfect but close enough that a little bending can't fix.

I cleaned up the rear junction box (the one that sites on top the axle). The breather cap has some small holes. I guess it's from rust. Will that make a difference? I realize there is not pressure behind it but just want to make sure.

Also, the part that holds the end of the sway bar in place. What's the best way to get that back on without mangling it? Do I force the top on or the bottom?

I got tired of changing the protective sheet inside my Harbor Freight sand blaster so I ordered some tempered glass cut the size. I've been using it for about 5 month now and it is still like new. Have to wipe it off every now and then but there is no protective film inside.

I am going to the local Pull-A-Part tomorrow morning with a friend. I am hoping to pull a decent 700r4 ($50) transmission. I purchased a conversion kit back in the spring.
