The square flange is approx 3/16 deep IIRC and should fit either inside the exhaust pipe or the manifold opening to keep the valve assy centered. That and the exhaust pipe size is the part I can't remember. I believe the other side of the riser is smooth and just has a gasket. The modern item has a tapered flange so that may be a non starter if it makes the assy have the counterweight on the wrong side but for the price maybe something that could be adapted -- if the bolt spacing will work.
