I placed a link to the chroming company that I used in my last post.

I got a pretty good deal on the gold because of a mistake in the quote they gave me.

I filled out an online email form and sent a photo of everything along with the email. They came back with a really low price that I knew had to be wrong.

I responded, asking them to recheck the price for repairing and gold plating of everything in the image. They responded with the same low estimate.

So, I sent them everything and they called me a week later with a final estimate of $1800.

That is 350% more than they told me in two emails so I called them and spoke to the guy in charge. I told that I knew what emailed price was too low but I'm not paying a 350% increase.

We spoke for a couple more minutes and finally agreed on $950 for everything in the picture. With tax and shipping, I paid just over 1K.
