Jeff - are you willing to share the vehicle number, theft-proof number and motor number with me, by PM is you wish, for my research into the correlation between VNs and body (theft-proof) numbers? If the numbers show anything unique I'll be glad to share it with you privately?

As a prior owner of two Custom 8s, I really envy the car you're working on - a truly magnificent car and I've said more than once than IMO the Custom 8s were the last of the really great luxury Packards.

And yes, DO review the Data Book - very worthwhile though of course we need to remember that it was printed well in advance of the actual production of the cars so some details may not reflect actual production.
