think you're right Howard, I don't recall seeing any o-rings. Something to check on while I'm in there again, though.
as far as the hood goes, not to worry - there was a cleverly hidden rubber tarp strap under there and with the limited area to drive top speed couldn't have been more than about 15mph. We didn't go through the gate and hit the highway
