In addition to what Ross suggested, try the coil without the dist. Use something insulated to hold the wire and touch the lead coming from coil to the block. As you remove the wire from the block you should get a spark. If you do then coil and input voltage are OK. If not, then you need to investigate why no spark from just those pieces.

I didn't check to see if these numbers are still valid but here are some Napa ground wires from a couple of years ago. They may not be a locally stocked item and might have to be ordered -- or something comparable can be found on ebay.
