Update time!
The new engine has about 1700 miles on it, runs strong, smooth and oil consumption is tapering off. 2 oil changes so far. Had the tires rebalanced and the ride smoothed out a good deal. New shocks are on the way.
The trip to Kalamazoo for the Packard meet in June went pretty well and I will attach a photo. From the feedback I received, it appears that my hubcaps are '53 and the air cleaner could be '57-8 Chebby?
Other shows that I have attended have been some local cruises and the Hot Rod Power Tour in Madison. After all the effort, the feedback is rewarding. The car always draws positive reviews.
Tomorrow it is up to Elkhart Lake to check out the Concourse downtown.
