Braved the cold and went into the shop to pull the manifold tonight. Easy project, everything came right off. I did make a couple interesting discoveries - the most interesting being that the head is stamped HC. I'm assuming that that means I have the 7 to 1 compression ratio head. How rare is that? Also found that whoever rebuilt the engine in its past did not use the correct brass nuts on the manifold so I will have to fix that.

I was just planning on getting the manifold coated, but after close inspection of the carburetor size of the throttle shaft was very sloppy, so now I'm planning on sending it to Daytona as well. Always something new.
