I finally have a weekend to dedicate to the packard again, so I am starting to bolt, screw and glue things back together. The painting is all done. The wheels are getting sandblasted and then will go off to the paint shop. I glued in the trunk weatherstripping, and installed the trunk lid, installed the tail lights and one of the reverse lights, cut and glued insulation for the roof and the firewall, then re-installed the old firewall padding. It is not great, but still pretty much intact. Things are staring to come together, and it is really cool to have a car that is painted! So clean and pretty!
I have been re-reading Big Kev's blog for ideas on my re-construction plan. Thanks Kev! I'm trying to work from the inside out, but it is nice to bolt on a chrome part on the outside to make things shine!

I have a question about the steele weatherstripping that goes on the A pillar. Does that get sandwiched between the A pillar and the front fender? Does the foam weatherstripping for the front door go all the way around, or is it not needed on the portion of the door that is sealed against the front fender?
Here are a few pics! Jade green is back in town!
