thanks for following along. any idea what that metal tab is for that I mounted the relay too? was it just for mounting a ground strap at some point? it is welded to the dash and looks factory to me.

you can see it right to the left of the relay, it is what is suspending the relay in the air. it already had a hole in the end that was the perfect size for a small bolt and nut.
