fuel pump is out and I took it apart to see what was going on. you can see the rip in the diaphragm. I will take this to Terrill for rebuild because someone already tried and I'm not gonna mess up the casting any further then it is. i like rebuilding stuff like this myself, if not just for the satisfaction, but i have no idea how to get that donut screen back into that cage without screwing it all up. the rebuild kit only comes with the screen and not already mounted in the cage.

I have no idea WTF is going on with the thermostat. is that stock? or did some dumbass rig that spacer up to hold that 180 thermostat?
the water pump is in need of some serious attention! and I'm pretty sure it is not a 37 model.
radiator is crap as well. looks like some asshat welded the water neck all together, or maybe jb weld...idk. its in pretty bad shape. it really needs a re-core. gonna take that out and try to pull the distribution tube out through the grill. looks like the radiator is held in on each side by a few bolts that are easy to get to and looks like it would just slide out engine side.
fuel pump should be a 1523202, but that doesn't seem to be the number on it. looks like 1523110. but looks like the right pump non the less.
there was no formal gasket on the water pump, just globs of silicon. that little D shaped black one is what was sealing off the pump hole and it was filling the little round hole next to the big hole as well.
i could rebuild the pump myself as well, but i have no idea wtf it is...best left to someone that has seen several.
poor engine...shakes head.
