took the radiator to the shop today. it is junk. I trust these people, they have been family owned and in the same place since 1948.

there are several patches in the top tank and he says the core isn't done right, whatever that means. the bottom tank is good though. he honestly said he would just be taking my money if he worked on it.

working on options for a replacement. found a place that does custom aluminum radiators based off of your drawings or off an original. so that has me thinking. Flack...will fill you in on this.

took out the shutter thermostat too just too look at it. didn't realize the thermostat was sealed. looks like the whole thing has to be replaced, not just the insides.

red arrows are the patches.


what is that thing on top of the radiator...the bubble...on the inside it has holes. looks like some kinda of air catcher or something...idk...thoughts?
