Well, it looks like some work had already been done. Now to fix it. It looks like the pickup tube was replaced with a copper tube and JB Weld to the bottom of the tank and the tube was stuck out the side port and soldered to keep it from leaking. what I'm looking at is replacing the copper tube with a steel tube and soldering it back to the bottom of the tank. I'm just wondering about how I'm going to connected it to the port and if the threads are still good enough to connect the gas line back to it.
